The Research Foundation - Flanders (FWO) promotes and provides financial support for fundamental and strategic basic research, clinical scientific research, the acquisition of large-scale and medium-scale research infrastructure, and the management of supercomputing capacity in Flanders.

Relationship Manager Flemish Supercomputer Centre and Industry
You will gather knowledge about the VSC institutions and infrastructure, relate it to applications in industry, and communicate about the acquired know-how. You will increase the involvement of the Flemish industry in supercomputing and promote the added value of the use of this technology in the development of innovative products and services. You will profile the VSC within the Flemish industry. To this end you will develop the necessary actions or provide ideas based on the needs and opportunities of the Flemish industry. You will detect and identify the needs of the industry for large computing capacity and translate them into the technical capabilities of the VSC infrastructure, and suggest recommendations for changes to the infrastructure, the process and the know-how management. You will bring the expertise of (academic) researchers in contact with the needs in the industry. You will act as liaison between the VSC institutions and its industrial partners. You will develop a network, maintain contacts, and represent the VSC in various networks. You will work closely with the VSC Steering Group and the VSC Industrial Board Advice Group.
You possess the right mix of a broad scientific interest combined with networking skills. You are proactive and committed to facilitating collaboration between the VSC and its industrial partners. You are conversant with both the academic and the business sector and have experience in attracting external research via the private sector. You have demonstrable knowledge of supercomputing. You are communicative, flexible, customer-oriented, principled, creative, quality dreiven and a team player. You are a networker and/or bring your own relevant network. You speak and write fluent Dutch and English. You hold at least a master's degree or equivalent through experience.
A contract of indefinite duration. This function is linked to a salary in barema A111, A112, A113 or exceptional A122 depending on your experience and competencies (see also the web site "Vlaamse overheid: werken voor Vlaanderen" (in Dutch)). All relevant work experience will be remunerated accordingly. Free public transport for commuting, free hospitalisation and group insurance, flexible working hours, 35 days annual leave, and meal vouchers.
